You will be required to arrive 15 minutes early to depart from the Isaac Regional Council Moranbah Office on Bachelor Parade at 9.30 a.m. Be sure to pack some morning tea as tours don't return until 1pm. Moranbah is part of the Mining Trail drive and brochures can be picked up from Isaac Regional Council Offices throughout the Isaac region and The Mill Visitor Information Centre on Nebo Road, Mackay. The Peak Downs mine was developed in the early 1970s and has a production capacity of nine million tonnes of coal per year!
