Set in a turquoise sea, the six high islands and islets of this park are surrounded by coral reefs, fringed by mangroves and sandy beaches, and cloaked in grasslands, woodlands and wind-sheared heaths. The island group lies midway between the coast and the outer barrier reef, within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area.
