Hearsons Cove is a picturesque inlet on the Burrup Peninsula, and is well known as one of the most beautiful swimming beaches in the region. This intriguing phenomenon can be seen clearly from the cove and is caused when the moon reflects off the mudflats at very low tides to create the optical illusion of a staircase leading up to the moon.
